Front Cover Feedback

I asked my classmates if they could give me feedback on my first draft of my front cover, this is the feedback they gave me. - The background colour does not go with the chosen images. - the font of the masthead does not stand out enough. - there are no plugs that tell you what is inside the magazine.

Feedback

I asked some of my classmates to give me feedback on my first design of my music magazine and here are some of the things they said.

·         The background colour does not go with the chosen with the image on the magazine

·         The colour of the background doesn’t make the black text stand out very well

·         The bevel effect on the font is effective however you cannot see the letter ”e” on the end of the word exclusive

·         The image fits in well with the chosen genre, Dubstep

·         The headphones are a good feature because they link to music producers of the genre dubstep.

I will now take this feedback on board and attempt to make my front cover better by using some of the ideas and changing some of the issues.

Image plan

in my front page i will have a medium close up, low angle shot of a male that attends the school this will consist of a shot from below the subject and contain the upper body and face of the subject. the background will be plain so that it is easier to edit out. the model will be looking away from the camera to make it seem as though he is looking at something and he will be wear ing a school uniform. the headline will be "pupils in biddulph". the image will have negative space for titles and other text

Define the target audience for your school magazine

The primary target audience for my school magazine will be a mass market of 13-18 year old males and females of all races and cultures that are already pupils at Biddulph high school or are thinking of becoming pupils at Biddulph high school, also the parents/guardians of these children.  The secondary audience will be the niche market of teachers of the school and people from the community around where the school is based of all races and cultures.
